Tracks are nspired by this year's theme “Innovation Across Boundaries: Historical Reflection and Future Vision". Details can be seen below.

Supply Chain Innovation :

Strategic trends

Supply chains are on the cusp of disruption, being transformed by new innovative solutions and technologies.   Survival and success of firms, industries and sectors may rely on the ability of supply chain actors to continually examine the value they generate and adapt to new business environments.  Industries are facing great challenges as globalisation continues and complex regional and local networks develop.    Although Industry wide adoptions of many innovations are in the early stages of maturity, technologies that support supply chain innovations are becoming more accessible and investment less onerous.   For example, alternative fuels to reduce emissions, automation that increases efficiency and reduces costs. Such changes are inevitable and supply chains unable to keep up with the speed of change will not survive.

Objectives

This track welcomes empirical papers rather than conceptual models relating to supply chain innovation. Providing academics and practitioners with the opportunity to discuss empirical evidence by examining a wide range of topics related to supply chain innovation.
