R&D Management Conference 2020 is jointly organised by three faculties from the University of Strathclyde: Department of Marketing, Strathclyde Business School; Pure and Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Science; and Department of Design Manufacturing and Engineering Management (DMEM), Faculty of Engineering. This approach is unique allowing Business, Engineering and Science scholars to demonstrate the interdisciplinary and diverse nature of innovation research.
Department of Marketing
The Department of Marketing is widely acknowledged as one of the earliest seats of excellence in the Marketing field within the UK and internationally. Marketing at Strathclyde is ranked No.1 in Scotland and No.2 in the UK in the 2019 Complete University Guide. It has an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. Staff act as advisers and consultants to private and public organisations and also hold senior posts in the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Market Research Society and other professional associations, as well as national and international companies. Strathclyde Business School (SBS) is also triple accredited. Number 1 in Scotland and it ranked in the top 10 Business Schools in the UK following the 2014 Government-led benchmarking exercise, the Research Excellence Framework. SBS is 3rd among UK business schools for impact which measures how scientific investigations influence practice in business and 1st amongst UK business schools for its research environment.
