The core programme for the R&D Management Conference is structured around a series of parallel sessions each lasting 90 minutes. Sessions comprise four paper presentations that may be academically focused, practice relevant, or a mix of both. Tracks are nspired by this year's theme “Innovation Across Boundaries: Historical Reflection and Future Vision". Details can be seen below.

The role of innovation and entrepreneurship in social challenges

Entrepreneurship has been exhaustively studied, as well as its multiple currents, aspects, and actors (e.g., Technological Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, individual entrepreneurship, environmental influence, social norms, technology transfer, commercialization of knowledge, entrepreneurial intentions, academic entrepreneurship). However, its study linking innovation and the entrepreneurship dynamic towards social impact/challenges is scarce.

Objectives

Therefore, the purpose of this session is to shed light on the concept of entrepreneurship in its empirical and theoretical dimensions (Technology transfer, social entrepreneurship, Technology entrepreneurship, academic entrepreneurship) by confronting innovation in current societal challenges
